Katherine & Stephen were married at Samlesbury Hall, Lancashire, UK.
Time & light was to be a distinct theme of Katherine & Stephen’s wedding day. It was New Year’s eve, a time for celebration , but also one of the shortest days of the year where the available light would disappear before the ceremony had even begun.
Far from a challenge, it was an opportunity to photograph a day that was characterised by its setting and the time of year. A shadowy, medieval hall in the deepest, darkest depths of winter. A ceremony lit by candles and the occasional flicker of the fire-side. A beautiful, intimate, meaningful occasion.
And the light was captured in camera from 2015 to 2016, and Katherine & Stephen were married.
